Review on 👞 Classic and Comfy: Discover the SAS Men's Slip Shoe in Black by Paul Walton

I am disappointed with the VTO Velcro shoes. I ordered the 10W, the same size as my other shoes but wasn't expecting the odd design of these sneakers. The high instep made it difficult for me to put on the shoes. The tongue opening narrows as it reaches the toe of the shoe. As a result, I couldn't easily open the shoes to put them on. An additional issue is the strap on one side of the tongue (pictured) which limits the ability to lift the tongue. Velcro straps are TOO SHORT for someone with a high instep. I couldn't attach them securely. Since the straps don't fit well, I feel like I can't cut the elastic strap attached to the tongue for fear of the shoe falling off. These shoes fit a lot tighter than my other 10W shoes. I damaged the elastic strap that tightens the shoes so I feel like I have to keep them. I'll try to get a shoe spreader to see if that helps. Also disappointed that "Made in USA" is only written on the liner as pictured and nowhere else on the shoe. I assume that means only the insole is made in the US? Very disappointed as relatively highly recommended SAS shoes. I fancied the outsole because it doesn't have cleats, which I associate with good traction. I'm afraid to wear them in the rain. ------------- ------------------------------------------- -------- ----- ------------- -------------- I had these shoes a while ago and loved them. The shoes stretched a bit to accommodate my feet (I started wearing them for several hours a day and now wear them comfortably all day). I still wish the straps were longer but I can get them to stay tight. Shoes have not been worn in the rain and may not be worth it. I have changed the rating to 4 stars. If I buy shoes again I might buy half a size bigger.
