I will write this in two parts, first about the product itself and second about some installation tips. Firstly, yes it is the correct fan, it worked great on a 2001 Ford Escape. I bought this particular one because there were spacers in the picture and it wasn't clear if the other fans included them. I would recommend replacing the fan resistor block as well as you will still be around and if you have a rusty 19 year old resistor block now is the time. Installation: The rubber gasket is aligned so that all holes match. Here's the rub: There's a notch on the edge of the fan housing where the gasket goes. There is no corresponding notch on the gasket. And it will ruin everything. So you need to cut out the spacer for this cutout. The fan will not settle unless a cut is made on the rubber seal. After this is all glued try to install it in a plastic cover. You will likely need to trim the outside edge of the rubber pad to get it to fit properly. Also, you have to index the plastic cover, the foam pad, the fan, the rubber gasket on the plastic case where everything is mounted, and you have to turn it upside down and there is almost no gap. The second tip: Glue foam and rubber pads to the fan in advance. I used Gorilla Spray Glue. Third Tip: Before attempting to install the fan, insert two 3/8" screws, eg https://www.amazon.com/Hillman-Group-727-Hanger-20-Pack/dp /B00HYK5AV8, in two of the holes, and then you have two threaded rods sticking out so you can index everything. Put everything in place, put a nut on one of the suspension bolts to hold everything in place, and then replace each screw with original screws which will align the rear support perfectly. This will help remove the passenger side panel to get the job done and it's just one screw. If you understand and follow these tips you should be able to to replace this fan in under an hour once the rubber gasket is glued and cut don't forget to cut that notch or it won't fit and you'll tear the gasket try I know this from experience 8mm head screws so 8 mm 1/4 head, a couple of extensions and a universal one to get the rear one. Much luck!
