This product has a slight chemical smell & produced a histamine response in household

After first removing product from package, people in house with asthma reacted strongly to it. Washed/dried it completely, aired for a day and response was less, but still made people cough and sneeze. Washed again and hoping for the best.Like the comforter, it is thin, seems a bit cheap as far as materials go (it was not cheap to buy.but will see if the smell really goes away and it can be used for purpose.
