This stand is VERY worth the price! I have several TVs at home, 2 of them in the bedrooms. The one in the master sits on top of a DVD case that's only 11 inches deep and I thought it would NEVER be able to support the stand, but it's ok. The turntable under the stand only hangs a fraction of the front and back of the DVD stand. The height of this unit is just great at over 9 inches as the bed rests on legs making it difficult to watch TV when you have to use 3-4 pillows. I have a small DVD player under a 32" TV which is now on a stand. Would I recommend someone to use it this way with young children or is there a lot of activity going on around them? NO, but as this is not the case, this fits the bill. The swivel block works well depending on how close it is to the wall. Generally clear purchase recommendation!
