Update, Fall 2022: I will come back to say that I still have this sweater and have had no further troubles with it. I only wear it occasionally (it's partnered up with a specific dress that can't be worn without it). However, after 3+ years, it's still in great shape and is wearing well. Maybe the armpit seam issue was an anomaly. Still annoying, but based on how well the sweater has performed since, I would be more willing now to order another color than I was at first.Great color, super soft sweater knit, started with good first impression and high hopes. Then the entire armpit seam came apart after the first wash. I can mend it cleanly - thank goodness I know how to sew - but I shouldn't have to do this much mending on a brand new garment. It's way too much of a pain to deal with exchanging it - which is probably exactly what the company is hoping for. Either way, mend or exchange, the hassle shouldn't be necessary on something that's been worn once. Yeah. Going to settle on annoyed.
