Battery life: heating, cooling and air quality

I used this on my bus route all week afternoon. At fan level 1, the battery lasts 3 hours. Fan speed set to 2, battery lasts 2 hours. I also used a cold plate in both setups. The fan stays cool at level 2. Do you want the battery to last longer or last while charging.
