putting my cats there and taking them to the vet is much easier than opening carrier bags yourself! I put some fleece inside and let them sleep in it (sprayed catnip and Felivee on it) they love it and it's easy to pick up, put down and close the door. It's much easier to get them to the vet, no need to pull them out or lift them. It holds my large 15 lb cats very well, they can sit comfortably in it. They don't have room to really get up and walk around, but that's ok, they're easier to carry sitting/lying down, and they're not as long as other totes so they fit better in my car seats. I also like that the top latches are secure and the handle is on the body of the carrier - two people in my area have lost their pets to the vet in the last 6 months, the carrier broke on one of the cats, when they left the pet carrier vet, no one found their sick pets. :( It also folds down small and flat for storage, I bought two and plan to buy another one so I have one for each cat in case of a hurricane evacuation or other emergency.
