Review on Unveiling the Sleek Sony BCQZ1 Z-Series Battery Charger: Elevate Your Charging Experience in Black by Jason Camarillo

Not the best value for money but I trust it

For the past year I've been content with in-camera charging. It works well and is actually very handy when you're not in a hurry. This charger is slightly better than the chargers they used to give away for free. It uses a power cord, which is handy for preventing the extension cord from overloading. It also has a 3-segment display that shows you how charged your battery is at a glance. This is definitely an improvement over the simpler charge/full charge indicators on base stations. Not necessarily an $88 improvement, hence my low cost estimate. In fact, I pay for reliability. After aftermarket chargers failed and aftermarket batteries became physically bloated, I decided to pay more and stick with the original OEM to power my camera. If this charger can match the lifespan of my cameras (like the old free ones) with no issues, I'll get over the shock of the sticker. Speed is another notable plus. About 2 1/2 hours without a charge is faster than I can discharge a fresh second battery.

Pros
  • Chargers
Cons
  • Big and bulky
