The brightness and color of these lights are very pleasing. However, the poorly sealed control module is the reason I gave them a one star rating. I was okay with having to buy some sealing boxes for the outdoor extensions as the control modules on these lights are not sealed very well, if at all, considering they are outdoor lights. The fact that the control modules don't reset to the last used setting was a fatal flaw with these lights and I regret the lack of a reset window. Every time we wanted to turn them on, we had to open all of the extensions' sealing boxes and toggle between the settings for our preferred flash pattern. I wouldn't recommend these lamps unless you're bothered by the problems I've noticed, but the lamps are nice and bright too. If the manufacturer fixes the shortcomings I've noticed, these will certainly be excellent flashlights. I'll go back to solar powered flashlights next summer (they're not as bright but at least don't require daily flash circuit resets).
