In the study, observers were more than three times more likely to spot a cyclist wearing fluorescent socks or leggings than when the cyclist wore black leggings and a fluorescent tank top. This is because "people get to know other people really well" and the human eye perceives leg movements much earlier than a stationary object like the torso. At the same time, the socks are very comfortable; I will buy more. I hope that clothing manufacturers will start offering colorful tights soon!
