I bought a 40 inch Sony LED TV (HD) in the USA to use in India. I know Indian broadcasting system does not support NTSC TV. In the stores, they don't even know what a PAL/NTSC converter is. Here, even if I get a perfect PAL/NTSC converter, it will cost too much and only serve this purpose. This means I run into another problem as I need to connect my HD TV (1080i/p) to the HD cable there (you get multiple channels). Again, this is a big problem and three times the price of regular cable service, which includes almost all channels. When I use a regular cable input for an HD TV, the picture quality is very poor. There is no point in using an HD TV without an HD cable connection. This product is perfect for my TV. It serves two purposes. my TV. 2. It upscales the normal input signal to 1080 (HD) quality. The picture is very clear and I feel like I have an HD network. I also use this product with my Xbox. works perfectly. I never felt any quality or signal loss. I bought it 3 months ago and it works great. However, you need to get a voltage converter/power regulator for NTSC TVs in India, which is readily available there. except for VIZIO which supports worldwide voltage specification.
