When I first opened the packaging I was amazed at how great they look in real life. I liked the variety of colors and shapes. They also came in a variety of sizes, which was a bit harder to tell from the online image. Individual pieces are of medium thickness but tend to get stacked together so you need to make sure you separate them before adding them. The containers they came in are very strong and easy to close/open. They are dense enough that even the smallest pieces do not fall out after closing. My main concern is that the listing says you can use them on acrylic nails, gel nails or even natural nails. First of all, I want to say yes, they are easy to apply on homemade gel nails. I've tried this several times and was pleased that all the different sizes and shapes fit most of my emails. Some of the larger ones were too big for my smallest nail but that was understandable. If you like very thin nails and file them a little, you may lose some of the shine as the glitter has a certain depth. Putting them on my gel nails proved a little tricky. The shine is dense enough not to bend. Especially small and medium-sized pieces. Because of this, it proved very difficult to lay flat on the nail. After the glitter was gone I applied 2 coats of the top coat to the nail and the glitter stayed but you can still feel it slightly on the top of the nails due to the thickness. I finally tried them on natural nails. I was able to get the little ones to stay even with just 2 layers of gel top. They really need to be more flexible than they are in order to lay flat enough on the nail to be staked. While I've had trouble using them in all claimed applications, personally I only plan on using them in my gel nails and they've done a great job. So all in all I would say the set is amazing for this type of use and I would highly recommend it. However, if you intend to use it for something else, it may not turn out quite how you envision it, or it may become a lot harder to apply.
