Review on 🌱 Clairol Root Touch-Up Semi-Permanent Hair Color Blending Gel, Dark Brown (Pack of 2), 1.5 Fl Oz by Shari Man

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Overall I like this product and give it a solid 'B' rating but there could be some improvement.

I really like the "idea" of this product. I've been gray (yes) since I was 20 and have been dying my hair for years. I don't even know what color my real hair is LOL and I can say that I am a self proclaimed SELF hair coloring expert. So let me share my thoughts on this hair color gel. :PROS:1. I LOVE LOVE I said I LOVE the fact that this hair color is SEMI-PERMANENT (kudos for that as the semi-permanent world is slowly taking over and frankly sucks), there are very few HIGH QUALITY SEMI- PERMANENT options, especially for us girls who don't want to open the hair cuticle even with demi.2. I LOVE LOVE that this is a DRY hair gel. OMG, yes I don't have to wash my hair, dress it and then get back in the shower to rinse it out again! And besides, I don't even know what spot on my head I was missing because it just looked wet, so thanks Clairol, THANK YOU for the DRY SEMI-LIQUID hair color gel! I think it lasts with about 2-4 shampoos I think 10 stretches it out a bit IF you use a very mild color shampoo it may last longer IF you use a setting color conditioner after using this gel for the first time it might help (I get mine from Sally Beauty). Currently. (don't judge me), but I do use a semi-conditioner between washes, so instead of a full shampoo to make the color last longer, I can use a color conditioner to make it last longer. I do this once or twice between washes, but the third time I definitely wash my hair completely, especially after the gym. Always use a light, sulfur-free shampoo. Well, this "tip" also means that if your hair gets messy from exercise or sweat, wash your hair with a colored shampoo instead. Use your best judgment here. Have no coarse hair.4. I wish it had more shade differences, like MORE shades between brown, tan, and tan in between so you can match colors better (since a semi-permanent color will fade, touch-up color should be universal too). Wunschliste NACHTEILE: 1. Ok soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo the gel has no consistency when it comes out it can just clump out and then its like what the point of the brush, it sticks to the head, so no no, fix the brush so that the gel does not fall out and is more evenly distributed.2. The color seems darker than light brown, I use light brown hair dye but when I rinse it out it gets much darker than the light brown I use (also Clairol) so I have to be careful, I think he could blend better, not sure whether this light brown goes with it? Again, the matter is in the brush and it distributes the gel unevenly, maybe that's the problem? 3. Not sure if it's just me, but I always feel a slight tingling sensation when I use it, and I confess to leaving it around my hairline and my hairline for a little over 10 minutes due to my unruly gray hair temples. Maybe that's the reason? 4. MORE color in the tube. I think this is EXPENSIVE hey Clairol folks reading this. HOPE you are reading this, your product is worth a lot for what you are getting. So if you can attribute your SALES DOWN to American greed, I guarantee if you ADD at least 30% more to the bottle, your sales will go up. Yes, you can THANK me later for that advice when you discuss how your sales have grown at your next meeting. You know who gave you this brilliant idea. Thank you Clairol for making a good product but no offense it can be improved to be even better! HOORAY.
