My natural color is chestnut. I have fairly thin, short hair. I decided to highlight my hair too and there was too much blonde in it - it looked awful. I waited about 6 weeks before trying to change my hair color. I dyed my hair dark brown, and my hair turned horribly dark, like black-brown. It was so ugly. Someone recommended me to use this and I was very hesitant. I've never used it, never heard of it. However, it became a rescue. I had no idea what my hair would look like after using it and it was scary. I had no idea what condition it would leave my hair in, especially after all the processing it had just gone through. The process was long, but it was worth it. My hair is free from all the mistakes I've made. It's not a medium brown and the color is very pretty (almost like I dyed it). If I as if I decided to do it in that color. My hair was a bit weak for a few days but it recovered quickly with the right deep conditioners. I would recommend this product to anyone who is very frustrated with color. Helpful Tip (for red hair) - I got a lot of blush after doing the process. But I used some blue shampoo and it really helped - if you put the blue shampoo on your hair (dry) and let it sit for 20 minutes and then wash it out, it really softens the red. Then use it regularly as a shampoo.
