Review on Petcube Interactive Monitoring App Enabled Security by Ryan Turner

The dice is not bad, the application is not

application for the company ah. I don't need social media for something filming my apartment. The cube itself is quite small and has a pin in the middle for a tripod or similar. Pros - Easy installation - Fairly good image quality with zoom - Laser function is ok, not very expensive but bright. LaserCons (their app) is enough - I don't want to join any social network, especially the one for the camera installed in my apartment . For me, this is a serious shortcoming. Without a subscription, you cannot access content older than 4 hours. Motion video clips are saved in random 6-12 second clips with variable spacing between them. Audio to/from live video is either sent or received all at once. Also, sending the tone sounds like a demon walking through a cat cube. Pretty funny imo. What should they have done differently? - Request/enable onboard micro SD or USB - Store video clips there or use as a stepping stone to upload to user's homegroup storage or cloud storage - No privacy invading social network In short: it works, but PetCube sells They're struggling with their subscription service, so as long as you just agree to the "Now" video and a few random video clips from the last 4 hours, you'll be fine. Also, unless you want random people watching your cube, learn your application's security model very, very quickly.
