My husband I purchased this product and it has worked great for the first two months. After two months, we started seeing fine black dust on the shower floor, indicating a leaking carbon filter. I remembered that we had bought another Aquasana shower filter in the past and had the exact same problem. I called Aquasana customer service at the time and they explained that the charcoal ran out as soon as the blue moon came and sent us a replacement filter. The Aquasana replacement filter also started leaking carbon after about 6 weeks. We've used several brands of shower water filters over the years, but Aquasana is the only brand that has issues with carbon filters leaking. We tried three Aquasana shower filters and all three leaked carbon. Lesson learned.
