I've had this pair of shoes for a few months now. They look great and polish well for a nice shine. However, the pair I received had a few threads sticking out of the top seam so I had to trim them flush. The stitching on the upper also feels a little looser than I expected. When worn, you can see the gap between the top and the side. It can be as little as 1/16 inch, but this could be avoided with a tighter stitch. In addition, the leather sole feels a little thinner than most other leather-soled shoes, making the sole of the foot feel more like a moccasin than a sophisticated shoe. The outsole doesn't seem to have been treated at all to resist water either. When I step into any shallow standing water, I feel cold wetness on the soles of my feet. This can also be partly due to the thickness of the sole or the quality/finishing of the leather. I love the look and feel of the shoe but I don't want to buy the same pair again and may need to think twice before buying a pair. from Flörsheim, who takes care of the overall quality of all their products.
