MUST HAVE PRODUCT FOR THE DISABLED HOME - Saved my health and sanity

This review is of TWO PRODUCTS I purchased from Revain and use together to care for a disabled pet to maintain. As I use them together, my review applies to both and this identical review will be posted on both product review sites. Two Items: MidWest Quiet Time Fashion Pet Bed - https://amazon.com/gp/product/B00063KG7S/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1ANDFurHaven NAP Pet Crate or Pet Bedding Dog Bed, Waterproof, Outdoor, Indoor - https: / /amazon.com/gp/product/B002JPENRA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I would also like to say a few words about using the Graco Pack-N-Play when caring for a disabled pet. NOW FOR MY REVIEW: Recently one of my dogs had two herniated discs and she became immediately paralyzed. He underwent emergency surgery to repair his discs and luckily only bruising remained on his spinal cord, so the paralysis is temporary. He is expected to make a full recovery. BUT. We have a long hard road to full functionality, and while caring for a paralyzed animal. Until we came across this, we didn't understand what that meant, but let me tell you, it's not an easy path for a pet or an owner. One of the problems is his ability to control his body's functions. Suddenly, peeing and pooping weren't the "voluntary" acts they used to be. It didn't take long for us to learn his "signals" and take him outside when needed. However, sometimes (often) accidents happen in his bed, and many things need to be cleaned. Not only normal discharge, but also vomiting. Our regular dog beds didn't do the job. Something had to be done. Another issue we had was that he was too fragile to get in and out of the dog cage. It was tough for us and for him too. We needed something where it could be gently lowered into tight spaces and gently raised. First, we got a used Graco Pack-N-Play from an online swap meetup nearby. My neighbor sold me a VERY GOOD Pack-N-Play stroller that had been stored in her garage for many years and was therefore too dusty for most moms to want one for their child. But he was in great shape and perfect for our Max! I only paid $5 for Pack-N-Play and he was able to sit in the middle of the cave with his family around him. He's in close proximity to our cheeky Border Collie (who's his best friend), but Pack-N-Play keeps him safe from injury with their constant playfulness. It also limits him to not having to stomp around the house while his spine heals. The Pack-N-Play has wheels so when it needs to go outside we can just wheel it onto the deck and save our aching back from taking it outside. Once outside, we simply pick him up and place him where he can relieve himself with a simple support sling of cut strips of microfiber bath towels. Also, he loves being outside and can safely sit in a Pack-N-Play under the shade of a large tree and enjoy the breeze, those sights, the smells and the excitement of observing the world around him. His custom dog bed is perfect for Pack-N-Play! The problem arises when we miss his "signals" and he has an accident in his dog bed. It's a heavy, thick piece that's monstrous to clean and wash, and we rushed to get all the parts in the laundry cleaned and dried the whole thing before it can have a comfortable surface again. After a few days of this constant cleaning, we realized something had to be done. Revan to the rescue! I was looking for dog bedding and mats for our Pack-N-Play and devised a system to keep it clean, dry and happy while preserving our sanity and reducing the load on our washing machine. On occasion, I ordered some inexpensive and relatively lightweight 36" x 23" MidWest Quiet Time Fashion Pet Beds. gives me the freedom to simply clean the surface of a dirty bed and toss it in the wash in the sanitation cycle. This rug is SO EASY TO WASH AND DRY - it only takes a few hours to clean, sanitize and be ready to use again. And since I have several of them, it is not difficult to replace the dirty one with a fresh one. It washes well and to my surprise it does NOT stain, but comes out of the wash clean, fresh and fluffy, like new! But the MidWest Quiet Time Fashion pet bed isn't as thick, luxurious, and supportive as your regular memory foam dog bed, and this cozy little topper needed a base that was therapeutic and comfortable. , Waterproof indoor and outdoor. Find it here: https://amazon.com/gp/product/B002JPENRA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 This was a great base for our fluffy pet mattress pad. It's the perfect size for Pack-N-Play AND it's moisture resistant so anything that seeps through the top padding won't seep into the FurHaven NAP Pet Bed. It's a great system. All we have to do is toss the MidWest Quiet Time Fashion Pet Bedding in the laundry, wipe down the FurHaven NAP Bedding Box or Dog Bedding with sanitizer, and cover with fresh Quiet Time Fashion Bedding for a completely clean and dry location. outside dog. That's great! Fur Haven is a thin pad that can be placed at the bottom of a dog crate and makes a great bottom layer in our Pack-N-Play. Being so thin (about 2 inches) I don't think it would make a good standalone dog bed, but combined with a Quiet Time fleece mattress pad it would make a thick, soft and cozy bed. Caring for a critically ill pet is hard work, but this system has cut our work and stress in half. I love the NAP Pet Bed because it's easy to clean and can dry out in minutes and be ready for the next edition. Meanwhile, we have saved valuable energy for rehabilitation exercises. It is important to get things done effectively in order to get through a very difficult period in our lives.
