Very bright! Light color probably around 4000k and daylight shadows. I like a few settings. The description says there are 5 settings, but one of them is 'off', so there are actually 4 brightness settings in total, adjusted with a simple press/tap on the bottom of the lens. If you have kids who like to push buttons, this can be a problem as you never know what to expect when the lights are supposed to come on. Mine is now set at one end of a 12x6 bathroom and the second lowest setting is more than bright enough for a late night visit without blinding me. The included plastic snap grille is nice to the touch but restricts the light too much so I'd suggest thinner slats or maybe not position them at such a steep downward angle, but using blinds will likely keep those little kids out. from playing with the brightness settings. After all, my outlet is under the floor and the blinds are so restrictive that I chose not to use them. Functions and light levels, so I'm satisfied and can recommend it.
