This is a soft, roomy, well-made hood. I was very impressed and spent quite a bit of time reading reviews of various hats before settling on this one. I am Caucasian/Asian mix who have started hair loss due to COVID-19 stress and thyroid issues. and I tried my best to prevent it. I'm also trying to embrace my naturally curly hair but it was hard but this cap makes it so much easier. What I like most about this hat, although some might dislike it, is that it slides down at night. my eyes (just because I don't have them too narrow). When I wake up in the morning, it acts as a sleep mask or blackout curtain. I have no idea it's daytime. It's so soft and comfortable that it doesn't bother me at all. I haven't washed it yet. I flip it over and spray it once with Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy Pillow Spray and leave it hanging on the bathroom doorknob until the next night. But I only wash my hair once a week! I also ordered a set of satin headbands. I have read that I should switch to satin for hair breakage, frizz and hair loss. I was surprised to see that they were also made by the same company. Packed so well in its own box and the quality is amazing. I look forward to ordering more hoods so I can change them. I haven't had any problems that I've read from other users about coloring. However, I didn't fall asleep with wet hair in my hat.
