Cages are removable, which is necessary to replace this assembly. I don't think it can be replaced without damaging the cells unless the cells are removed. The device works, but the cage on the passenger side wobbles, causing it to break. Sound. There's no friction and it's not too loud, but it can be heard over the rush of air when it's on.
