I bought this because of some dry scalp issues that patchy in the winter when everything in the house gets dry. Before that I tried applying small dabs of oil or other moisturizers to keep my scalp from itching and flaking but they didn't quite work and made my hair quite greasy. This product has worked well, I still have dry spots but much less when they appear. I usually apply it directly to these areas in small amounts every other day or so during the winter and it seems to make a difference. Not a huge difference, but a small difference in reducing itching and flaking in my hair. This product has worked well, I still have dry spots but much less when they appear.
