I have Haglund's malformation. I had achilles tendon surgery on my left ankle two years ago for the same thing and I will NEVER go through it again. It wasn't a painful recovery but 4 months on crutches and in a boot. I just can't get through. Now the same is happening with my right leg. I cannot perform the operation. I will be doing cortisone injections but for now I am wearing these braces and they are working amazingly well. I walk almost every day and am in a lot of pain to the point where I can't even put my heel on a flat surface. Since I've had this orthosis, I've had no more pain. I don't know why it works, but it really works.
