My small bedside table always has more electronics. I used an old fashioned extension cord which was just awkward to use - too big and the cord was so stiff I couldn't comfortably position the extension cord. On the other hand, this kid is great! I have enough USB ports for my phone and tablet, and enough outlets for a lamp, landline phone, and alarm clock (aka Alexa Show). As there are several open shelves on the table I can keep the fork on the shelf where it's still comfortable but doesn't take up space at the top. The cord is excellent - slightly longer than the old pole and won't get in my way. resist when I move it. I wondered if it wouldn't slide too much on the varnished wooden shelf, but since the cord interacts, that wasn't a problem. I'm considering getting another one for work. I definitely recommend it.
