This is more of a mid-cycle update. It seems that most of the benefits of this camera on the 7 Black can be achieved through a software update. I mean they brought something new to the hardware department but took important key elements. Yes, we took a monumental step toward folding legs to get rid of the frame. But at what cost? We've lost the Micro HDMI connector for fast direct viewing on your HDTV. A feature now only available through the $80 mod add-on! Then the battery compartment. It's so thin and easy to take off. Can be easily lost when changing batteries on the go. It would be better if there was a rubber cord attached to the battery cover and the camera itself. Another thing I take as a rejection is the non-interchangeable lens! I know it's advertised as twice as strong as the previous one, but now you think about it. I feel there were many sacrifices to achieve a good goal. I couldn't have done this without the fact that I was able to sell my GoPro 7 for almost the price I paid for it, TradeUp deals and American Express deals.
