Review on On-Stage QK-2C Quik-Release Microphone Clip Adapter, Chrome: Convenient and Reliable Solution for Quick Microphone Changes by Zach Sornsin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Not uniform for Clips

Great tool, I use it to quickly attach and detach an MXL 440 shock to a handlebar post. Knowing this, about 4 months later I ordered another one for my new Shure Super 55 so I could swap them out on my coasters. However, the product I received was drastically different from the first. Much blockier around the edges than the previous one, the new adapter looks and feels like a low quality product. The new female end will not fit over the older male end as it is slightly smaller in diameter and conversely creates a loose mic hold. The new adapter has a different type of rubber bumper and washer of a different thickness, also threaded for a larger diameter. Each image on the left shows the new adapter versus the old adapter. However, the goal was to be able to exchange microphones. Due to this inconsistency with the product, this is not possible. Great product idea, poor model consistency. Yes, the "updated" design may contain an error, but the product page on Revain should reflect these updates and not show old products. The image displayed on the page is what I originally received and the second one hardly matches this description.
