I don't like guitar cables. They're always in the way, step on, accidentally unplugged, and need to be removed when you're done. Most of the YouTube reviewers for this product are great teachers and gamers, but they are dated. They love their cables. I've been using wireless for 4 years so here's my take on it. Line 6 G30 About 4 years ago I bought a Line 6 G30 wireless kit for my guitar. What I liked: * Works great * Replaceable batteries What I didn't like: * I had to wear it on my belt either. (Very unpopular) *or* I had to attach it to a guitar strap. *(Means I had to wear the strap even when I was sitting in my rehearsal room. When I wanted to change guitars I had to wear the strap. *Need a short cord. *Had to remember to turn off the power switch Line 6 G10 transmitter, otherwise it would eat the batteries I bought a Line 6 G10 about a year ago What I liked: * Works great * Transmitter connects directly to guitar * Turns on for a while when connected * Charges by plugging into the Receiver What I didn't like: *Can't replace battery.*Receiver won't run on battery*Transmitter sticks out a bit when connected to most guitars (works fine on Strats)Xvive U2 Got it today.Things that I liked: *The transmitter and receiver are battery operated. (No wires or cables, yay)* The device can be folded forward or back to not protrude too much.* Very light. Devices.* Remember to turn off both devices.* Battery is not replaceable.* Doesn't charge as easily as Line 6 G10. (Transmitter and receiver need to be connected with a USB cable) Conclusion All the devices I've had have performed their primary function well. I mean they let me use wireless. What I'd like to see: * Xvive U2 form factor * Swappable batteries so I can get started quickly in the middle of a gig. * Intelligence line 6 G10. * Turns off after a few minutes of inactivity. * Turns on when connected and turns off when disconnected. (Same as G10) 02/26/2018 I've been using the Xvive U2 at home in the same room as my wifi router for a few days and have had absolutely no problems. I take them with me when I visit friends for jam and go to music lessons. My teacher always has cables that need repairing or are too short. Xvive U2 aims to solve these problems.
