When choosing the headphones, I decided I needed specific things and didn't want to spend more than $100. I've used the Sennheiser HD280 Pro for years with no problems, but I decided to switch models to see what else I was missing. - 3.5mm audio and mic jacks - Closed ear design - Surround sound - Attractive aesthetics (that's important to me) - Good sound quality and mic quality for its price range (obviously I expect more from more expensive models) - Long cord with quality cable - Reliable manufacturer has almost everything I wanted and in my price range. The headphones sound great and the mic input seems accurate when talking to others online. They're very comfortable (the headband doesn't feel tight and the padding around the earcups is soft but seals well to block out ambient noise) and appear to be made of quality plastic and padding. Nothing about this item feels cheap. The ONLY exception to this and the only query I didn't get was the quality of the cable. It looks fragile and tends to tear. The outer shell appears to be made out of a not very durable rubber material and is difficult to wrap around once you're done. I definitely prefer outer-braided cables that will hold their place when flexed. This cable seems to have a mind of its own. Fingers crossed it doesn't seem weak at the connection points. If so, I'd be tempted to give four stars instead.
