Holds the earbuds snugly
When I first put the hat on, the earbuds dangled in the wind and didn't warm my ears. There is a flexible knit band around the entire cap and I thought pulling that band down would ruin the shape/style of the cap, but I found that pulling that tab all the way down held the ear cups firmly in place and my ears holds . and the head is heated to 20-30 degrees.
