I considered bringing a DSLR camera, but ultimately decided against it since (1) I lack the initiative to plan picture sessions and (2) it would be lazy of me to lug around half a pound of iron with a protruding lens on every walk. Advantages that vary The "soap box's" 10x zoom lens has excellent aperture. camera lens that can be used to steady moving images. Good enough performance when set to automatic. There are user-manageable options. Easy on/off switch for the light. Negatives: Distinct skewing and other irregularities are seen.
