We bought this watch 6 months ago for my 7 year old son and the watch has had water on it at least twice. The first time, after swimming with them in a 3 to 5 foot deep pool for several hours, the watch became cloudy, like condensation, making it difficult to see the numbers. We put it in a container of desiccant overnight and in the morning it was clean. But the second time he went into the sea with him only 2-3 feet, because he doesn't swim or dive very well, just jumps on the waves and the clock is already dead. The numbers are not displayed he started signaling us intermittently and he won't keep track of time anymore. I had to remove the battery for it to stop beeping. He never pressed any buttons underwater. Apart from the lack of water resistance, it was a good watch for him and he was sad when it broke.
