Here's a scoop. I've been using these bulbs for years and really like them, although I know LEDs are more efficient. In fact, I tried some Home Depot LEDs and they were too bright, didn't turn on right away, didn't quite match the color, etc. So I ordered them. three times until it works! The Sylvania part number listed (16168) matches the current lamps I'm using and the picture clearly has a long base, but nowhere in the description is there a specific mention of a long base, so here's what happened. First order - default (cheap) supplier, short neck lamps received, returned. Second order - first an email to a couple of sellers who replied they were long necked. Ordered from LumenNation, received short neck tubing again. The seller then said there was a problem with the listing. Returned. Third Order -- Double checked with another supplier, BargainBulbs. Confirmed Long Neck was received today and are correct items. Also note that the Sylvania part number 16168 has been replaced with 18253, at least according to the information I found online. The lamps appear to be the same.
