I rarely write reviews, let alone negative ones. But I feel compelled to comment on the SanDisk Clip Sport MP3 player. I've long been a big fan of SanDisk players for listening to audiobooks and have had several Clip Zip and Sansa Plus Zips. I bought the SanDisk Clip Sport because the Clip Zip is no longer available. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! Longer battery life aside, the Sport model is vastly inferior, and it baffles me how any company these days can make a product with such poor performance - the lag time between pressing a function key and getting a response. so long it's amazing. For example, it takes 12 to 15 seconds or more until the sound resumes after a pause. and the main power/select button, which has multiple functions, is even slower to respond. At first I thought I had a defective model, but I asked a friend who has a SanDisk Clip Sport and she confirmed that she had the same issues. As a former fan of SanDisk MP3 players, I urge SanDisk to come out with a better model. In the meantime I will look at other brands. come up with a better model.
