He's great, but he has his weaknesses.

I am a fashion designer and use this machine for hemming leotards and topstitching leotards that I sew myself. Here's my review: This machine is great for hemming. I bought this because I was tired of the crumpled edges of my standard machine (even after purchasing the walking foot). I was very wary of this purchase as it is really expensive but after the first use I was glad I bought it. This machine is great for top stitch! I use it for the top band and neckline and it's beautiful! The machine is great for chain stitch! My standard car was shipped and USPS broke it so, when it broke i couldn't do basic straight stitches, i was able to easily convert this machine and now i use my serger exclusively and that's it for everything. Although I still plan to fix my standard. The machine isn't intimidating, it is, but once you've used it, you'll love it! It's so easy to use and easy to understand (read the manual!). Threading is SUPER easy! Hands down my easiest car. What I don't like: The foot doesn't shine through, so it's difficult to do topstitching and such. At this price, the car should really be on the road with clean feet. I don't even get the point of that big metal foot! At first I thought people were dramatizing this complaint, but I can confirm that it is PEET! I also hate that the knitting leg is $200! Why make this machine so expensive when it costs an extra $300 to use. Most people buy this with the intention of tying it, you need another $200 for that! When I sew a rubber band, I find it difficult. This may be the user's fault, but he just won't thread through thick stretchy fabrics. This happened to me with bra straps that I wanted to fix. It happened again when I was sewing a thick elastic waistband. IDK what to do with it. I will update after more use. This happened to me with bra straps that I wanted to fix.
