While it's too early to tell how long these lanterns will last, they are expected to last which is very attractive. I'd rather spend more money than keep changing lightbulbs. We use them to keep spiders and bugs away from a light source and yellow bug lights have worked for us in the past. When the package arrived, a bulb was broken. We had to send all four back and were given replacements for four new bulbs. We waited for the new bulbs to arrive so we didn't have to go without them until the new ones arrived, so it worked, it just made more sense to just replace a blown bulb. Looks like a waste of money/time. In any case, we are satisfied with the purchase and hope for a long service life.
