It doesn't work with my PS4 controller! waste of money!

The description clearly states that it is compatible with the PS4 controller and console. . Well I just plugged it in and it doesn't work. This causes my controller to flash orange. The PS4 doesn't recognize the controller at all because the cable is just junk and I'm hoping to get my money back.
