Really fantastic value for this set. The object that caught my eye was a thin tanto knife. Of course it is almost the same size as my CEO CRKT (perfect office backpack). It came out spicy with a slight buttery shimmer. The flipper tab works well but there may be a ridge on the safety locking mechanism as you will see in my video when I opened it it would not engage and was able to close me. I hope this problem goes away with use and until then I will keep my hands safe. I cut off about half an inch of rope tinder and used it to start the fire. It burned very hot for about 30 seconds which gave me enough time to build up a roaring flame considering it was a warm and dry day so can't comment on its resistance to wind or water. The compass points correctly. In my opinion an underrated device. Small and ensures you don't get lost when the battery runs out. This kit is the perfect complement to the emergency bag that always stays in my car.
