I got this for my 8 year old daughter bought for Christmas. From time to time she plays with Barbie. She is most interested in animal sets, but she asked about this particular children's set. The set is packed in a large box and makes a great gift. I love that it comes with the Skipper doll. That's the only sister she didn't have. These little ones are very cute. You can change their diapers, feed them, weigh them, play with them and put them to bed. There is a lot of playability with this set. I definitely recommend it. This is a great addition or even a great starter kit. My daughter plays with her barbies a lot more since she got this set for Christmas.
