Poor with military headsets

So I bought this for my Peltor Comtac III. It doesn't work, I can hear with no problems, but I can't PTT or PTT to the radio when it's connected. Probably suitable for any headset other than legal military headsets. Used on Baofeng UV-5R and UV-5R+.
