11/27/18: Batteries tend to run out quickly, but the light is so beautiful that this shortcoming doesn't bother me. I bought three more and am using them outside in my hanging decorating baskets and one inside over my Christmas stockings. The fourth was in case one failed, but I used it as they all worked. Overall very satisfied, although I deducted a star because the batteries die so quickly. A flicker/flash option would also be nice. My wreath of streets had poor lights in terms of brightness and this year most died for undetectable reasons. I ended up getting a 1/3 backlit wreath and didn't want to fix any errors since it was purchased in 2012. I justified my money. As the lighting was the only shortcoming of the wreath, although I would like to improve the ribbon, I went with these lights. I removed the installed lights and old huge battery box that required D cells and installed this small battery box that worked better at 1/3 size. The lights are beautiful and so much better than the ones that came with the wreath and the new ones are bright and so pretty. Be careful with the wire, it's thin and prone to tangling, so don't over-tighten. I twisted lanterns in and out of branches instead of wrapping them around a wreath. Worked great and I can get more seasons out of my wreath. onions next year. 😁
