Review on πŸ’‘ Upgrade Traditional Fixtures with JACKYLED Non Shunted Tombstone Fluorescent Replacements by Kevin Henry

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Pigtails are a little short, may need to widen mounting slots

First, they work great in T-8 LEDs, a ballastless upgrade to 4ft fluorescent tubes. I used Home Depot's HyperBY-4c 50G bulbs and am very happy with the light - 5000K, 18W, 220Β° wide so lab lighting is cleaner and more focused. The 4ft boxes and bulb socket were shorter than the JACKYLED so I took a sander to open them and bent the tab and they went in nice and neat. The braids were too short to reach the line. /Load wires so I took about 18 ga wire from the holders coming out of the holders to screw in the nut. It took a bit of trial and error to figure out whether to crack the plastic lamp socket or the metal bracket, but the metal ground very easily. .

Pros
  • √ Easy to Use: JACKYLED T8 tombstone holder with 10 inch 18AWG wire is very easy to use. The T8 Fluorescent Lamp Holder is literally a breeze to replace an old and damaged socket for your T8 fixture. It is also very easy to install light into this socket.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
