This was perfect for our needs: extra storage and space for our small living room. We are small people with a toddler and almost a year old. So far these benches have withstood five months of sitting, climbing (up and down) and most importantly lots of love from my little one. I'm pleasantly surprised at how well they've held up so far. My children are active but not too destructive. Rougher children might be a bit more strenuous on these benches. They are definitely stronger when full. In terms of capacity, I can easily fit a queen size comforter, a queen size thermal blanket and a standard pillow without squeezing. We store toys in bowls to minimize the need for digging and add extra stress to the benches. We've also added some chair cushions for extra comfort and protection for the table tops. In general, we like our corner. Perfect size for toddlers to lounge and read and comfortable enough for adults for short time especially when combing two benches.
