Great little/portable projector with a clear flaw, Viewsonic doesn't fix

perfect bedroom projector/portable projector for me. - The build quality is amazing and it looks great. - Alexa/smart functions are fun - I love that I can turn it on and off in bed without a remote. - The resolution is great, the video quality is solid, the color reproduction is good (a bit oversaturated but I don't mind) and they fixed the forced anti-aliasing/frame interpolation with the 0.57 update. - The built-in speakers are loud enough and the quality is ok. Won't blow you away despite the Harmon/Kardon name, but solid for an integrated. The remote control is flimsy, but I used a weaker one. He's doing his job. - Includes a carry case which I appreciate. - NO built in battery which I PREFERED because my last portable projector started bulging when the battery died rendering everything unusable. I LOVE it in the projector. Connection options are good. I would like to have ONE more HDMI port but I use a simple two input switch with no power and it works fine although I have to reach it. Now for the reason I gave one star in this review. discovered what I believe to be a HUGE issue with this projector and Viewsonic CONFIRMS it will NOT be fixed with a firmware update. The input itself drops to something that seems super unpredictable. It shakes and trembles. It sucks. And that's a HUGE benefit of the projector, as you'll also see on this product page. They claim that you can put the projector aside and it will automatically detect keystone distortion and look great, when in reality the video quality is woefully poor. While my main use case for this projector was watching videos, don't even think about video games if you even care about Keystone/4. want to use angle. The erratic frame rate is even more noticeable in games that use smooth scrolling or require quick reactions from the player. It was everything I wanted for bedtime media consumption, but it had one critical flaw, and Viewsonic told me they most likely wouldn't be looking at the new model. BUYER WARNING: If you intend to purchase this for even a small side projection and are sensitive to inconsistent or lower frame rates than intended, this projector is NOT for you.

Pros
  • PREMIUM AUDIO: Built-in dual Harman Kardon Bluetooth speakers produce room-filling sound (Bluetooth connection is for audio only)
Cons
  • Long delivery time
