It has 5 valves with small numbers depicting sea creatures (4 is either a dolphin or a shark, can't tell exactly?). There is crumpled material in square #3! My son Levi is 19 months old and he presses his face to his face and pets him like a dog. He LOVES it when the buckles click! He's also learning how to open this zippered treasure bag. Very soft, great price but seems quite durable. NO defects, no foreign smells. If you need to wash it, put it in a zipped pillowcase and cycle on normal/delicates (if your washing machine has a delicates setting), then put it in a pillowcase on low heat or hang it on a hanger and dry it in the air. I will buy a few more of these. This is as a gift for others with toddlers and maybe for our next toddler if Levi wears them down too much. Me and my husband and even his grandparents are impressed with this toy and its quality.
