We bought a size 16 denim dress for my DD who is 5ft 2in and 100lbs and yes it runs small. I didn't like the small mirrors on the dress (at first I thought they were embroidered flowers, now the product has been updated, more detailed descriptions of the dresses have appeared). if it fitted her better, so a little looser and a little longer, it would look prettier on her, even if it wasn't the most comfortable (it turned out to be scratchy, even after pre-washing)
