I am an autistic adult and my entire life I have been passively and aggressively abused by people just for being different. Especially medical staff. When others blindly praise them, I can only think of the constant abuse and gaslighting they have subjected me to for decades. However, many do not believe me or pretend that I am exaggerating. Since my official diagnosis and interactions with other autistic people, I've found this to be very common in us and other neurodivergent individuals. We are told that we are "crazy" or do things "professionally" and then we are treated worse than humans for challenging their fragile egos by daring to tell them they are wrong and we know our body/mind is better than them and we have to believe. The community suggested that every doctor visit should be recorded because since getting dx and being open about it, I've experienced a lot more passive abuse and it's caused me a lot more trauma. So I wanted something I could carry with me to record not just doctor's appointments, but everything else. And sometimes I don't have time to get out my phone or my battery to do it. So I want that as a backup. I like it because it actually looks like a necklace and no one will suspect anything. I wish I had that when dealing with abusive ex-partners or my extremely abusive family. It's all in my past, but it's good to have evidence that others are really abusing you when your word is against theirs. Just check with your local laws. My state is a person's state of consent. So I can record others without their consent. But in some places it is forbidden. It was a bit difficult to navigate initially trying to figure out how to turn on voice-activated recording. Written instructions are terrible to follow. Just got back and read the instructions as well as other reviews. The sound quality is decent. It picks up traffic on my street when all else is quiet.
