Sling is a sling but compound is bullshit. I haven't used it much but on a few jacks and Japanese chisels I've only done bevels and backs with t4 Tormek, then used the Mk2 Veritas jig on 3 consecutive Atoma diamond plates and then hard Japanese waterstone on 3 or 4 thousand. If this green blush cuts at all, it won't buff scratches on anything below 16000. Maybe it's just chalk. If I have better results later I'll edit it. In its current form, I recommend buying a good connection. Or go to the cobbler, buy scraps of leather and find rouge.
