Let's start with the research. As a big guy with a big footprint, I started to ditch the old brands I wore and look for something that would give me support and freedom of movement. I prefer classic shoes and have been wearing them for a long time. I decided to go with it to test my research. To get started, I contacted one of my favorite survival guides who lives in the swamp state. I live in the desert so I needed an outside opinion. He leaned me against a beautiful expensive boot. I can't wait to try them out, but let's be honest. $300+ for shoes you've never worn is a bit hard to swallow. So I looked at Range Master Boot. I'm still having a hard time deciding as I haven't worn ankle boots in almost 20 years. So, to start the review, PLEASE GET THE SOCKS. I walk at least 2 miles a day in my shoes. Currently it's a minimum 1 mile hike every day. This is where the ANKLE socks come in at the start of your hikes. I started getting blisters. A few more walks. Massive Bubbles. AGAIN personal choice of socks. I still wear them, they are cool and comfortable. The only change I'm approaching is replacing the laces with paracord. Still combat tests of these. Bought locally to have when I needed them but I would order from Walmart as the deals could be better. I don't mind waiting until May 11th to start selling.
