No matter how expensive the pillow is, it needs to be changed regularly to keep it clean. So my husband and I want the most comfortable down and feather pillows we can get at a reasonable price, which translates to a lifespan of 18 to 24 months. This particular pillow is mostly made of feathers, with some down, but it's still very comfortable. I occasionally get "afterglow" like many women of a certain age and was pleased to find that the pillow stays cooler than a synthetic filled pillow. And the price is so high that if our beloved dog mistook it for his pillow too many times, I'm willing to throw the pillows away.
