I wanted something that would work on multiple laptops using the hints provided. It seemed to fit the bill and found the right tip for the 3 laptops I use. Old Dell, Sony Vaio and Sony replacement, brand new Dell 2 in 1. Old Dell told me from the start that the AC adapter was plugged in but not enough for charging and even turned off when using larger programs. The Sony and Dell 2-in-1s seemed to charge very well, although the Dell 2-in-1 tip was longer than the OEM charger and difficult to connect to the end of the charging cable. After a few times it got better and I was able to switch between my old Sony and the new Dell by changing the prompts. Now about 3 months after purchase it doesn't charge the Dell 2 in 1 which I really wanted it for while using my laptop. With such power issues, I'm hesitant to use it on a laptop now. I would return if I could, but it's too late. I liked the size and the two extra USB charging ports so I ignored the negative reviews.
